       Bud and Linda travel the northwest in search of outdoor adventure, nostalgic stories, and interesting people. They organized Cougar Ridge Productions in 1997, and began submitting stories to travel, adventure and outdoor magazines. We work both freelance and on assignment, and have enjoyed a high percent of acceptance by many popular publications-- some of which include: Oregon Coast, Trailer Life, Northwest Travel, Hot Boat, American Cowboy, Trailer Life, and GRIT, to name a few.
      An English major as a student, Linda has always enjoyed the written word, writing grant applications, newsletters and promotional materials during her career.
      Bud began his working career as a commercial artist, then polished his photo skills as a hobby while working for 31 years as a State Farm Insurance Agent. He has replaced brushes with film and now paints his pictures with his camera. "It's like being back in the Art business," he says.
       It's a natural partnership—with Linda writing while Bud tells the story with pictures. Friends tell us they enjoy our love of life and our interesting adventures. We hope you do, too.
